Who Created It?

Pillar & Stone was created by the Red Rock HR team, inspired by participation in women’s committees, boards, and traditional networking groups. 
After attending multiple events and committees, a gap became clear: 
 • Plenty of professional groups 
 • Plenty of expectations 
 • Very few spaces that simply allowed women to connect 
Pillar & Stone was born out of that gap.

Why Was Pillar & Stone Created?

The purpose is two-fold: 
1. A Need for Real Connection 
As business owners and professional women, many of us experience similar: 
 • Pressure 
 • Growth pains 
 • Successes and setbacks 
 • And most importantly, Leadership isolation 
Pillar & Stone creates a space where women can talk openly with others who get it—without having to explain themselves or perform.

2. No More “Extra Work” 
Many existing groups: 
 • Expect committee work 
 • Require planning or facilitation 
 • Come with ongoing obligations 
Pillar & Stone intentionally removes that layer. 
This is connection without commitment. 
You show up.

You participate.

You leave refueled—not assigned tasks.

Pillar & Stone rotates monthly at different venues to keep the experience fresh and enjoyable. 
Each gathering is hosted at a local restaurant, lounge, or hospitality venue so members can: 
 • Enjoy new experiences 
 • Try different flavours 
 • Support local culinary and hospitality businesses 
The next location is chosen at the prior meeting, allowing time for reservations to be made when needed and ensuring a smooth, relaxed experience for everyone.

How Many People Are in the Group?

Pillar & Stone is intentionally small and intimate. 
 • The ideal group size is 10–12 members 
 • Smaller numbers allow for: 
 • Meaningful conversation 
 • Everyone having space to speak 
 • Easier reservations and venue planning 
 • Stronger connection and trust 
Larger groups tend to dilute conversation and make coordination more difficult—this size keeps the experience personal and impactful.
