Job Description
This is a hands-on, working manager role with full operational accountability for the Calgary division. While you will provide strategic leadership, financial oversight, and team management, you are also expected to be present in the field, supporting crews, solving problems in real time, and stepping in where needed to keep projects moving.
This role is ideal for a seasoned operations leader who has successfully managed large commercial and municipal contracts, led multi-crew operations, and understands that strong leadership happens both on-site and behind the scenes.
This role should have a strong background in landscaping and irrigation.
What You’ll Do
· Lead all landscaping, irrigation, and maintenance operations for the Calgary division
· Oversee the successful execution of large-scale commercial and municipal contracts
· Balance strategic planning with hands-on field leadership during peak periods and critical project phases
· Plan and manage project schedules, staffing, equipment, budgets, and work plans
· Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract requirements
· Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to supervisors and field crews
· Actively participate in field operations when required, including equipment operation and troubleshooting
· Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to Elevation Landscaping’s standards
· Maintain accurate, up-to-date project, client, and operational records using LMN and other company systems
· Track job costing, labour, production, and project performance to support reporting and decision-making
· Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and ground disturbance regulations
· Support client relationships, attend project meetings, and assist with issue resolution and change management
· Identify opportunities for operational improvements, efficiencies, and cost control
This Is a Working Manager Role
You will be expected to:
Be regularly present on job sites across Calgary and surrounding areas
Be hands-on roles during training, complex installs, or time-sensitive phases
Operate and supervise equipment such as skid steers, mini hoes, and trailers
Lead by example in safety, productivity, and quality workmanship

Requirements
5+ years of experience in commercial landscaping, irrigation, construction, or project management
2+ years in an operations or senior leadership role managing people and projects
Proven experience overseeing large-scale commercial and municipal contracts
Strong project planning, scheduling, and financial management skills
Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and hold teams accountable
Proficiency using operational software (LMN experience is a strong asset)
Ability to read blueprints and manage technical project requirements
Valid Class 5 driver’s license (Class 3 or 1 is an asset)
First Aid and Ground Disturbance certification (or willingness to obtain)
Comfortable operating heavy equipment and hauling trailers
Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
PMP and/or Certified Irrigation Contractor (CIC) designations are considered assets but not required.
